Marc Spooner, Associate Attorney

Marc A. Spooner attended undergrad at the University of Colorado-Boulder (2006). He earned his J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law (2012) after several post-college years working as a professional chef and skiing the Colorado backcountry. During law school he served as Editor-in-Chief of the UST Law Review; led Environmental Law Society volunteer trips with the Will Steger Foundation in Ely, MN; and participated in the UST Federal Commutation Clinic. He published a student note on the subject of virtual property law entitled: It's Not A Game Any More, Or Is It? Virtual Worlds, Virtual Lives, and the (Often) Misguided Notion of Virtual Law. After three years working at a small Minneapolis employment law firm, Marc decided it was time to get back to the mountains. He took a contract position with a Minnesota hunger relief nonprofit while he prepared for the Alaska bar and made plans to move, and finally packed for the drive to Anchorage in June 2014. Marc clerked for Hon. Catherine Easter following the completion of the nonprofit work. He joined Walker & Eakes in October 2015.
